Edition judged: The Logue 2003

Well-planned, “uniquely unified” edition of the Logue. Attention to details sets this product apart from most others. This yearbook gives the reader a real glimpse of life in the Nappanee/Wakarusa communities of northern Indiana as it uniquely displays the North Wood H.S. student experience of 2002-03.

While this edition of the Logue clearly exhibits the basics of scholastic yearbook journalism, it utilizes additional contemporary techniques in packaging its comprehensive coverage of this year, in this community. Notable examples include unifying design modules, personalized student attention with individual cover photo and extensive number of photo quotes throughout, copy details that help to visualize the North Wood story, and student quotes that augment photo and copy coverage throughout. Contemporary typography, beautiful color photography, group shots displayed on their coverage spreads, and a complete index all come together to give this product a truly impressive presentation.

It may have been a challenge to top last year’s edition, but the dozen student journalists who produced this product should be especially proud of their efforts. The result is one the students and families of the Nappanee and Wakarusa communities likely will enjoy for years to come. Good job.
