Edition judged: Tom Tom 2003

This is an absolutely beautiful yearbook, extending beyond the basics of good scholastic journalism with an elegant, truly contemporary, excitement-filled package. Clever “03 Sides to Every Story” theme that does a superb job of unifying comprehensive, in-depth coverage of the 2002-03 student experience at Danville H.S.

Attractive, elegant typography throughout. Well-written, researched in-depth captions that truly help to tell the story of the year, augmenting both the photos and the body copy. Body copy is generally lively with creative, intriguing leads. Impressive, informative historical timeline insert. Beautiful color photography and generally quality black and white photographic content throughout. Attractive ads with interesting feature coverage and a complete index top off this impressive print product.

The 14 student journalists and adviser involved in the production of this 50th Anniversary edition of the Tom Tom should be quite proud of their efforts. This yearbook, which reflects an eye for detail, is one Danville readers should cherish for years to come. Congratulations to all of you.
