Judge's Comments:
Very clean, nice looking front page that is a little heavy on its teasers (perhaps a different font or no
reverse type would help). But attractive front page. Paper has strong leads, good solid news writing with good sources. Many diverse news articles that cover school well. Good use of news briefs to include additional information.

Great reviews bands, books, movies, presents, video games. A great diversity that should touch everyone at some point.

Cutlines are informative and precise they add information not included in the article.

Lots of feature stories great diversity.

Good sports coverage of both major and minor sports, plus sports column and scoreboard.

Solid editorials and columns.

Good original art and solid info boxes.

Areas needing work:
Editorial change typeface to make it stand out more, add editorial cartoon.
Photo reproduction content is good, but quality is poor
Editing refer to style manual
Design remember that often more is not necessarily better
