•Review of J-Lo’s movie: you told it all. I had no reason to see the
movie. When you do a review, leave some things to the imagination so the reader
wants to see the movie.
•Headline size and weight: very little variance – you need a dominant
headline per page; use present tense
•Style: Get an AP Stylebook and use it – lots of style errors
•No
courtesy titles – last name on second reference
•Watch passive voice – particularly in leads
•Nameplate – unsure – what does eagle have to do with sentinel?
•Photo quality
•Try to look for more in-depth stories – take the stories you are
doing, but take to the next level.
